Luciana Rondolini’s Bejeweled Sculptures and Drawings

Luciana Rondolini’s Bejeweled Sculptures and Drawings

Argentinian artist Luciana Rondolini creates opulent artworks from low-budget materials, encasing rotting fruits in plastic jewels that glisten like diamonds. Rondolini builds altar-like installations, piling bejeweled fruits in front of graphite drawings. Her drawings take the form of portraits, except her subjects’ faces are encased in geometric crystals like the fruits, inciting a dialogue about how the illusion of glamor and luxury can be created through visual culture.

Audacious Face Ornaments by Joann Tan

On Facebook

It is to better denounce the drifts of the cosmetic surgery and go against the current of the canons of beauty that the Malaysian Joann Tan launched its collection "Not Your Average Beauty".
From unique pieces to strange beauty. To better sublimate the reliefs of each face. Graceful and delicate jewelry, halfway between tribal ornaments and surgical splints .... Definitely more refined than a passage on billiards, right?
