“La Línea Roja” is a photography project by artist Nicolas Rivals.
To create each image, Rivals ventured into the Spanish countryside and
set up temporary light installations, creating an intriguing series of
long exposure, night time photos.
To shoot these stunning nude portraits, Paris-based photographer Dani Olivier
dressed his models with nothing but light, using their bodies as a
canvas, combined with a series of geometric patterns to celebrate the
beauty of the female form. “Dani Olivier began working with light projections some eight years
ago, and he’s been refining the process ever since. He prefers to
collaborate with dancers and other women who move to the beat of their
own drums, whose bodies can ripple through space alongside the projected
motif. These seductive portraits of women are a subtle but lovely
reimagination of both the nude as an art form as well as the medium of
light.” h/t: theinspirationgrid
In 2003, Russian artist Leonid Tishkov fell in love with the moon and vowed to stay with her forever. As
the story goes, the moon descended from the sky and appeared in the
thick upper brush of a pine tree outside Moscow; her crescent curves
were boldly illuminated from within. Tishkov embraced her, adored her,
and, when she asked to see the world, promised to show her as much of it
as he could. “She shone to me personally and brightened my loneliness,”
Tishkov says. (h/t: ARTnews)
Glamorous Neon Lights Portraits By Javier Martín Spanish multidisciplinary artist Javier Martín has been preoccupied with concepts of perceived and intrinsic beauty for over ten years, from which sprung the “Blindness Collection”,
an ongoing project that explores contemporary standards of beauty by
appropriating their iconography to undermine their apparent perfection.
One of the series to come out of this endeavor is “Blindness Light”, a collection of works that combine glamorous black and white portraits with colored strokes of neon light. (h/t: yatzer)
