This Astronomical Watch Shows Our Solar System Orbiting the Sun

This beautiful planetarium watch designed by Dutch watchmaker Christiaan van der Klaauw for Van Cleef & Arpels puts the solar system on your wrist, rotating six tiny planets around one tiny rose gold sun in the centre. The planets featured on the watch are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, the only ones that are visible to the naked eye and each of them is made from semiprecious stone.
The planets orbit in real time, meaning that Mercury will orbit around the watch in 88 days, the earth will take a full year and Saturn - the furthest planet from the sun takes a full 29.9 years to return to it’s original position!. A small shooting star orbits on the outer ring of the watch to indicate the time. h/t: (dailymail and twistedsifter)
